History

Established in Rockhampton in 1986 by Allan Johnson and Paul Tennent, Johnson & Tennent began as a small firm with only Allan and Paul. A secretary was employed shortly after, followed by another accountant, and another…

Johnson & Tennent continued to grow and in 1990 it became apparent the original office had become too small. The team then moved to our current premises within High Street Finance Centre at 84 High Street, North Rockhampton.

In 1991 Allan Johnson acquired Paul Tennent’s share of the partnership to become sole proprietor.

A Yeppoon office was opened in 2002 and is currently located at 15 Hill Street, opening 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday).

More recently, Johnson & Tennent have become the first Rockhampton accountants to pioneer the use of Xero for online accounting…stay tuned for more exciting growth stories!
